Mineral exploration drilling is our speciality. Either using diamond core drilling or reverse circulation drilling.Our work is generally associated with drilling epithermal deposits situated in the "Pacific Rim of Fire". From Papua New Guinea, through Indonesia and now based in the Philippines, these deposits are generally found in inhospitable terrain in Countries with emerging economies, poor logistics and social sensitivities.
We have developed a range of skills to counter these negativities and Clients find that our local knowledge often assists in their planning and execution of drilling campaigns.
A range of drilling rigs can be tailored to the Clients requirements, be it manportable drills, helicopter supported operations or skid mounted machines for use in areas with environmental covenants. Truck and crawler mounted RC rigs are available.
Orientation equipment, digital down hole survey tools, mud control systems, and "pump down" wireline tools for flat hole and underground drilling are standard inventory items.

Geotechnical Drilling
The range of diamond drills used in mineral drilling is also conducive to geotechnical drilling programmes. Considerable experience in this field has been gained from projects such as Ok Tedi and Porgera in Papua New Guinea. The QED management team has been associated with Clients such as Snowy Mountains Engineering Company, PNG Electricity Commission, Golders and Coffee's to name a few, and has a strong understanding of geotechnical requirements.
The standard suite of geotechnical in-hole tools is available ex stock and more advanced measuring tools can be obtained from specialist suppliers to meet customer requirements.
Our drills are conducive to on-shore operations however through a strategic alliance with a well known international Contractor; we are able to offer offshore underwater geotechnical drilling for pier design, pipeline construction and sewage outfalls.
